Information on Torbay and Teignbridge Networks:
There has been a change of venue for the Thursday Group from the Grand Hotel to the Majestic Templestow, which is on Torre Hill Road, Torquay (Next to the Casino). This will be at the later time of 11.30 - 1.00.
We now hold a monthly 'welcomers group' for new Network members in Torbay at Brookfield House in Paignton (next to the Half Moon pub). Please contact Caroline or Jo to find out when the next meeting is to be held.
Christmas Parties
We are going to have the Christmas Parties at the same venues as last year. The Teignbridge parties will be at Dainton Park Golf Club near Ipplepen. The lunch will be on Monday 7th December at 12.30 and the evening dinner and disco will be at 7.30 on Tuesday 15th December. Prices for the lunch will be £16.50 for three courses and coffee. Unfortunately there are no subsidies this year, as the funding has come to an end, but we hope to see as many of you as possible there. We will, however, provide a welcome drink for everybody.
The Torbay lunch will be at Horizons at South Devon College in Paignton. The meal will be on Friday 11th December at 12.00 noon and will cost the same as last year - £10 for three courses and coffee. Please send or hand in payment by Friday 13th November. Cheques should be made payable to Community Care Trust (South Devon) Ltd.
Trips and events
A celebration of the Women's Networks will take place at Oldway Mansions in Paignton in February 2010. This will take place on an afternoon to celebrate the three Women's Networks from Torbay, Teignbridge and Exeter and there will be a buffet and a guest speaker. The date is still to be confirmed and we will let you know when the event will occur soon.
From the last steering group, a suggstion was made that a pamper day at Inspirations in South Devon College should be held. We have now made arrangements for this to take place on 26th November. This will be open to women from both networks. There will be a range of treatments available on this day and we will try to car share where appropriate. There is also a regular bus service that stops outside South Devon College. Please see latest newsletter for more information.
"Carols Down the Line" is taking place on Tuesday 8th December and will run from 7.00pm for 7.30pm departure from Buckfastleigh Train Station. The cost will be £7.00. Please contact Jo or Caroline if you would like to attend.
